Whatdo you want to know about the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii?

D. asked:

I need to put together an information package for visitors and new residents of Haleiwa Town, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii; what kind of information would you want to see on a visitor’s guide?

What are you curious about in Hawaii?

Whatever you can think of will be of great help to me! Thank you very much
It still is nice and country but for what I hear it will never be like the 80’s. There are plenty houses and new developments but the country feeling is still here. The residents as well as the Governor want to keep the country country!
Thanks

  1. SPED teacher Says:

We used to have luaus on the North Shore with roasted pig and turkey cooked in pits dug in the sand. We used to watch the surfers. That was years ago when I was a teenager.

I would like to know if anyone can still cook on the beach like we did. Is there anywhere to stay on the North Shore? It used to be free of big buildings and towns and wonderfully unspoiled by civilization.
