Options to Review When Looking Into a Hawaii Vacation

When it is time for some fun in the sun, almost nothing fits the bill as well as a Hawaiian vacation.

One of the better things about Hawaii is that the climate is always mild. Even in the summertime, the trade winds will generally provide a cool breeze and there are plenty of beaches and a clear blue ocean for a swim. During the winter, the temperatures remain warm enough for surfing and enjoying the water. In fact, during the winter months, the surf is often much larger producing some of the best surfing in the world.

You may visit all six of the islands if you want, or just laze around on the one of your choosing. Each Island is distinct with its very own character, and each will be a joy to explore.

If you wish to view Honolulu and Waikiki beach, then you’ll want to see the island of Oahu. This island is perfect for your initial vacation to the state of Hawaii. In addition to the city of Honolulu and the beach destinations, you will be able to take in Pearl Harbor and the museum that pays tribute to the USS Arizona. Nearly all visitors to Hawaii spend at least several hours on Oahu as many flights from the mainland to the Hawaiian Islands connect in Honolulu.

North of Oahu, is Kauai Island. Kauai happens to be the oldest island in Hawaii. You will find much natural beauty and plenty of choices for charming escapades and outdoor attractions. The Coconut Coast features golden sand shorelines and to the other part of the island is Waimea Canyon. This canyon has been called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

South of Oahu is the island on Molokai, having a sizable number of native Hawaiians who continue to be strongly connected to their heritage and traditional way of life.

Lanai has fewer people compared to the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, and is ideal for a quiet and relaxing Hawaii vacation. Life is noticeably slower paced in Lanai, there are no stop lights to annoy you and it is perfect if you want privacy and a more casual vacation than you get on Oahu. Lanai also offers two good golf courses.

The island of Maui is situated in the middle of the migration path of the humpback whale, and a good number of tourists come here in winter to watch these whales. The beaches are considered among the best in the world, and are a favorite with many visitors who seek a Hawaiian vacation without the razzmatazz of Honolulu.

The Big Island of Hawaii is certainly that – big. The island features more land area than all the other islands of Hawaii combined. Of the thirteen climatic zones that exist in the world, eleven are found here. On the Big Island is an active volcano, sandy beaches and snow covered mountains.

In case you are unable to decide upon which island you’d like to explore, then try all of them. You can easily book cheap Hawaii cruises starting in Honolulu and then spending 1.5 days at each island.
